    Hi,
I’m not sure if there is any way round this problem.
I have been using AE 6.0 on Windows 2000 in conjunction with a Pinnacle Targa 3000 capture card using Prmiere 6.5.
The Targa card captures in YUV AVI files. AE6.0 imported these fine.

We have since bought a new graphics station running win XP and the Adobe Production Studio Premium.

When I try to import the AVI files captured with the Targa 3000 card into AE 7.0 it appears to think the files are 32bpc rather than 8bpc and promptly crashes. The files play back on the system through windows media player and Prmiere Pro 2.0 can import them although it thinks they are 32bpc also.

Is there any way of forcing AE7.0 to import files at 8bpc??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot

    KInd Regards

    Chris

Not that I’ve found. It boggles my mind why Adobe hasn’t fixed this. WTF!

Have you updated AE 7 to 7.01? Should fix this…

    Hi Max,
Can I download AE 7.0.1 from Adobe then. I don’t remember seeing an update last time I looked.

    Thanks for your time

    Regards

    Chris
