We’ve been trying to track down this issue. Mac 3,1 late 2008 octo core with 32 gigs of RAM. Yosemite and AE 13.7. After a Yosemite update AE won’t load. We are getting odd error messages. One pointed us to the Red Giant plugins which we uninstalled and one pointed to the GPU which we disabled. We even did a fresh Yosemite install (had an old installer) and then loaded AE 13.7 on that with no other apps on the drive….still won’t load. Other 3.1 and 4.1 Mac towers are all running Yosemite and AE 13.7 just fine.

Suspecting hardware, but anyone else do a Yosemite update recently on a Mac tower and have a startup issue with AE?

Actually what happened was my editor updated the CC 2015 apps but did NOT update to the latest Yosemite and that was the issue….after a day of troubleshooting, a simple Yosemite update solved the problem.

    Back to work people!
