April 18, 2008 at 7:22 pmI have been searching to find out if the new version of QT is safe to install. I can not find any recent info. QT keeps asking me to install the new version. I have been avoiding it for months.

April 18, 2008 at 9:51 pmI am still using 7.3. There were posts a couple of months ago about avoiding version 7.? (don’t remember the version number) I have not been able to find any info about the problem being solved. My guess is, the original poster may have an issue with QT version that was giving problems a few months ago.

April 19, 2008 at 1:46 amI’m using the newest version pro. I usually export as animation, but sometimes I use dvcpro. neither one of them will allow me to export, it just has the error and shuts down. But if I export as anything else say avi with the same codecs then it’s fine. But i need it to be in QT.

April 20, 2008 at 2:32 pmTry to find an old version (7.3) somewhere. Look at some of the software you bought a year or more ago. I think the iPods came with iTunes/QT on a disc. Many other products come bundled with QT on their install disk.
