AE vignettel in Final Cut issues:
When I render out a nice vignette on motion graphics in AE, and then pull it into Final Cut and do a cross dissolve with some footage in FCP the vignette artifacts like crazy. Especially on white. There is banding and chunks or pixels. Is there any way to avoid this? It’s the same issue with photojpeg, animation and prores outputs…

This is after you’ve rendered your cross dissolve in FCP? There are now green/yellow lines at the top of your timeline?

I already rendered and it still looks bad. Even when I output through compressor, you can see the vignette because of the artifacting. Also, has anyone ever pulled a piece of video footage, put a nice vignette or shadows in AE, then pulled it back into Final Cut to finish editing it into a piece and the vignette looks bad? It’s like anytime I use a vignette in After Effects it doesn’t look great, especially on a white background. Then you can see tons of banding etc…

I use a vignette on a fair amount of work that I do, and when it goes into FCP it looks as it should. So you may need to provide more information as Dave suggests.
