AE Unable to Export Black JPGs?
I recently update to AE CC 2015.
I am now noticing no matter what I do I cannot get AE to
export JPG’s that are black. I use AE to create B&W alpha
maps for 3D model and FX texturing. If something is not
100% black then it will not be 100% transparent.
So I need to be able to export black.I’ve created hundreds of fx with this method and have not
had this problem till recently.Does anyone know what changed in AE and how to get it to
export black the way it used to?I even took the image into Photoshop. It looked 100% black
but when I select half the image delete it, I can see a
very slight difference. And Magic Wand Tool will then only
select that area.HELP!! [screams like a princess in need of rescuing]

I cannot reproduce your problem with Ae CC 2015. A pure black solid rendered to JPG remains pure black.
Perhaps you have something going on in your comp that is elevating the black level? Can you post a project file and an output file, or at least a full-UI screenshot?

The sure solution I found to the problem…Revert to CC2014.
I was running into other problems with 2015 as well. The worst
was it would quit rendering after only a few frames. it was randomly changing the amount of frames it would render. 2015 is a bit buggy in my experience. If it runs well for you that’s great. I am not having any good luck with it though. For now, reverting solved all the above.
