AE to Encore
There are a ton of articles on compression and there doesn’t seem to be anything clear. I’m going from AE to Encore. I can render the file uncompressed and input it directly into Encore and have it do it’s thing, (which is a huge 52gig file) or are there better ways? ie compressing with AE or Sorrenson Squeeze. Any suggestions and settings?

That sounds like a giant file. Why is it 52gigs? Is it 720×480? How long is the animation? Also, I don’t know where you are in your project, but it is also possible to have an “underendered” ae project import into Encore, using Adobe’s dynamic link. Try that.
In Encore:
File>adobe dynamic link>> import After Effects Composition -
It’s 720×480 uncompressed. Video clips plus animation. My thought is that Encore is having to do a lot of work compressing it and there’s got to be huge losses. Does the link make the final output better?

If I’m using Sorenson, I just import the massive file and use the standard NTSC MPEG 2 setting. Double click on the settings and make sure everything is set to best, etc.

I tried to link Encore to AE…the links are grayed out. It works on Premiere though…just not on Encore, dunno why.
