I need a little help on how to install the new After Effects-to- Cinema 4D plug-in just released by Maxon. Do I simply need to replace the CINEMA4DAE.aex file already in the Format folder with the new file?

The AE to C4D plugin is called C4DExporter.aex

The folder I downloaded from the Maxon site has only one file and that is CINEMA4DAE.aex but it’s maybe 5 times as large a file as the one already in the FORMAT folder of After Effects CS3. I’m fairly certain that this is the AE to C4D plug-in and not the other way around. I found it through the latest link from Motionworks so I’m not sure where to locate the file you’re taling about.

That’s the same one where I downloaded the CINEMA4DAE.aex, but nowhere could I find a C4DEXPORTER.aex file.

Which version of Cinema are you using? I downloaded the PC and Mac files for R13 and they both include the C4DExporter file.

I have version 12 Broadcast and I saw only the one file in the Win folder from Maxon and it wasn’t the Exporter file, so it’s a mystery to me.
