AE to C4D Plug-In
Posted by Ron Moore on November 10, 2011 at 5:33 amI need a little help on how to install the new After Effects-to- Cinema 4D plug-in just released by Maxon. Do I simply need to replace the CINEMA4DAE.aex file already in the Format folder with the new file?

November 10, 2011 at 4:56 pmThe folder I downloaded from the Maxon site has only one file and that is CINEMA4DAE.aex but it’s maybe 5 times as large a file as the one already in the FORMAT folder of After Effects CS3. I’m fairly certain that this is the AE to C4D plug-in and not the other way around. I found it through the latest link from Motionworks so I’m not sure where to locate the file you’re taling about.

November 10, 2011 at 6:56 pmThat’s the same one where I downloaded the CINEMA4DAE.aex, but nowhere could I find a C4DEXPORTER.aex file.

November 10, 2011 at 11:54 pmWhich version of Cinema are you using? I downloaded the PC and Mac files for R13 and they both include the C4DExporter file.

November 11, 2011 at 12:09 amI have version 12 Broadcast and I saw only the one file in the Win folder from Maxon and it wasn’t the Exporter file, so it’s a mystery to me.
