  • AE to AME Jpeg2000 output dimensions don’t match source

I’m on a PC windows 10, and I love the ease of AME over the AE encoder. I’ve found Jpeg2000 to be the best alternative to prores (I used to love it on Mac) but, I’ve recently found that my exports from AE to AME have slightly different frame sizes than the source comp. For example when the comp was 5000 x 5000 the file rendered from AME was 4096 x 3112.

I have the preset set to match sequence settings.

Any idea what else could be causing this?

    Square pixels.

I think I’ve realized that JPEG2000 has a max dimension of 4096 by 3112, though strangely there’s nothing about this on the web.

You can’t even type a resolution higher than that into AME.

    I sure miss prores.
