  AE runs slowly on my 4-core PC

  Hi everyone!
  I have a Intel Xeon 3.4 Ghz, 2 CPUs with 2 cores each, 4 GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2900 PRO (512 mb), WinXP SP3, and yes, I have tweaked my system to give AfterEffects 3GB of RAM, according to generalspecialists help.
  Here’s the problem. The software seems to be rendering too slow for such kind of hardware. I’ve posted a thread on another forum and people offered a test: to render a project and announce the render time [PROJECT: https://www.videocopilotdata.net/efc5e19e65fe9ca2cbd9818d45ac92a1/videotutorials/projects/07.zip%5D. My machine needed 4 mins 14 sec of time, while other guys with less powerful machines did twice as faster!

  I have the Multiprocessering function activated.
  I have turned OpenGL off, since it does too much harm to my nervous system.

  What advice can you people give me to make it go faster? It seems to me that something is definitely wrong here.

  PS: The OS and Adobe Creative Suite 2 have been installed 2 weeks ago.
