AE rendering time
I am curious about rendering time.
I am archiving a bunch of VHS tapes to DVD, and QT, after doing some color correction work.
I am using AE 6.5, working on a Powermac G5 Dual 2.0, running OS 10.4.10
I just rendered the first two hour tape, after having done level adjustments, (throughout the tape where needed), and a 2% scaling to lose the black bars on the side and bottom.
The render took eight hours.The second two hour tape, I did the same scaling, a similar amount of levels, but I also did a minor amount of hue/saturation and shadow/highlights.
The render took over sixteen hours.Is this normal? Should the rendering time have doubled?

I though that doubling up was way too long, and that something must be wrong.
