I am wondering, since I downloaded and installed the BM codec for OSX to use in AfterEffects, is there a way to render out a quicktime with BM codec that includes the rgb and alpha in one file?
Or do I always need to render 2 files separately, like one rgb and one alpha file.

    Thanks for your support

    hy

I recommand using png format in mov. You have an alpha channel, lossless, possibility to render in trillions of colors (48bits) and compression (non-destructive).

But this format is not for real time… you will need to render your time line.

    best regards

AFAIK, none of the BM codecs support an alpha channel.

From my understanding YUV codecs can not support alpha channels.
