    Hi all

I keep getting this error message whilst trying to render a very simple comp from AE CS3.

There is an error in background rendering so switching to foreground rendering after 13 frames completed out of total 750 frames. (26 :: 142)

I tried lowering RAM Cache but not really sure where else to look. I dont have Gridiron Nucleo installed on this machine, so I dont know where else Background Rendering might come into play.

    Settings are:
    MacPro 8-core
    6BG RAM
    AE CS3

    Max RAM 120%
    RAM Cache 60%

    ReVision FX RSMB 3.2.5
    Box Blur
    CC Radial Blur
    Radial Shadow

    16 bit project

    TIFF sequence
    QT Animation movies

Any clues why this would happen. I gotta get this rendered and uploaded for the client.

Okay, I figured it out. I can’t believe I never came across this before.

RSMB cannot effect any layer with another effect on it. Either as an adjustment layer on layers with effects on, or on an individual layer with other effects applied. Placing RSMB as the first effect on an individual layer solved it.

Hope this helps somebody else in the future.
