AE Remote Work Solutions
Hi, I am working in a AE project, which is pretty big, and due to to COVID-19 we are unable to work together (physically). Uploading and downloading massive files etc. its becoming unpractical and too much of a hassle. Plus, it can lead us into workflow issues and other serious problems. So, I was wondering if there are any solutions for remote work or any workflow that would help us?

Instead of actually passing files around, you could log into a an unused computer remotely that has the needed file access. There are a million ways to do this. I believe there are some tools built into certain flavors of Windows and Mac OS’s… you can also use things like TeamViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop, etc.

I’m really liking HP ZCentral Remote Boost [link] for remote control. It uses more bandwidth, but the latency is low and the quality is high. It also includes multi-monitor support and remote USB support. It’s included with HP Z workstations, but you can also purchase it separately.
