April 24, 2015 at 5:40 pmRecent items are stored in the preference file.
You can clear them by entirely resetting your preferences (press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) while the application is starting.)
You can also clear them by manually editing your preference file. You can locate it by clicking “Reveal preferences in Explorer” in Preferences > General. Locate the file. Close Ae, because it will re-write the prefs when it closes. Search the file for your project filename, and then remove that entire section of the preferences. Relaunch Ae, and witness its amnesia.

Sorry, I did not mean to locate the project file on your hard drive — I meant to locate the project file’s name in the preference file and remove the MRU section they’re in.
