    Hello CC,

You must get these quality post quite a-lot, and apologise in advance.

I have created some simple graphics and both video and graphics get rendered from AE into AME. However, the quality looks bad and looks almost as if I have upscaled the graphic from SD to HD (text is not as clear and and the colour looks washed out). I have some samples below of both a video captured from broadcast tv and my mocked graphic to compare. Hopefully you can see the difference. I basically hoping for a more professional look once rendered.

    Video settings –

    AE:
    Comp: 1024X576 25fps
    apple prores lt

    AME:
    MPEG2
    720X576

Sample from broadcast tv (graphic at 8s) https://reels.creativecow.net/film/broadcast-tv-image-quality

    My attempt: https://reels.creativecow.net/film/graphic-sample

    AE File: 8269_sample.zip
    Thank you.

MPEG2 is a pretty lossy compression, that might explain some of the crunchiness. Does your Master(apple prores lt) look bad?

Are the graphics vector? Are you rasterizing them in the timeline? There are so many things that it could be. Without more info we are stabbing in the dark.

    Kind regards,

    Hi John,

Yes, apple pro res lt looks bad as well. SD graphics as always been a problem when it comes to quality output.

    Hi Christopher,

No, my graphic are not vector (check AE file to make certain, im still new to AE). I also have not been rasterizing, do I have to pre-comp to use this function?
