AE or alternative to Apple’s Motion

February 27, 2011 at 6:43 pmI’m use Apple’s Motion for simple animated line drawings (animated splines and fills etc) and am looking for an alternative for PC use.
I used AE a little in the old days (latest version was Pro5.5) and liked it but automatically go to motion for this animated line stuff.
I’m not a pro motion designer only doing this sort of thing a few times a month so don’t want anything too expensive or too long a learning curve.
Many thanks for advice
Alan

February 28, 2011 at 4:35 pmThere’s not much difference between 5.5 and CS5 when it comes to the basics of animating basic lines except that Adobe has added things like Shape layers that can make it much easier. I don’t know of any good alternative to Motion/AE on the PC, but this [link] might help your AE learning curve go away. This [link] certainly will.
