AE motion in animation codec into FCP
Hi,
I have exported quick time motions from After Effect. They are in the animation codec. When I read them with Quick Time launcher, they look perfect.
But when I am importing them into an FCP project using DV/DVCPRO NTSC compression, they glitter (principally the font).
The problem is that my FCP project needs to be a DV/DVCPRO NTSC because the rest of the footage is in this compression and the export will be done in this compression too.
What should I do ?Thank you,

You are forced to render to DV only if you are printing to DV tape.
If so, try setting Render in High Precision.

Thank you for your answer. You are right. It is just that I didn’t want to render all my DV footage and re-render it every time I make changes. But I will continue to do some test.
Or else, do you know what is the best way to export motion from After effect so they don’t glitter, flick, etc. in FCP ?
And also what would be the best compression to export the final movie (including mini DV footage mixed with AE motions) for diffusion on DVD, Internet or other ?

Whatever is your final destination, try to make the best master that you can achieve.
Whatever is the footage I use I end up exporting to Prores HQ. I set “Render in High Precision” and “Render Motion Effects: BEST”.
