  AE linked comps go off-line in Premiere Pro CC

  Strange problem: when I export a a still image from AE (png or psd) to use in my Premiere Pro CC project, ALL of my linked comps go off-line in PP. I can either restart PP or re-link the media, but that’s not a great work flow. I re-created the scenario with an entirely different project and everything works perfectly…no off line anything. So I can only conclude that my project is corrupt.

  I tried copying all of the sequence elements into a new project – No go.
  trashed preferences in AE and PP- No go.
  repaired permissions- No go.
  uninstalled/re-installed AE and PPCC- No go.

  It must be something in the project file itself. It’s a huge project that’s almost finished so I can’t start over from scratch at this point. Is there anyway to go in and repair an existing project?
