AE light intensity controlled by fire footage
Hi all. I’m making an animation with some dolls sitting around a campfire on a dark beach. The fire is sctual footage of a camp fire. Now, I would like to see the flickering of the fire reflect in the faces of the dolls. I think that AE could analyse the brightness of a portion of the fire layer and connect this to the intensity of a point light. But I totally forgot how! 😢 Much grateful for your input!

You can do this with a sampleImage() expression.
