I want to keyframe events to become LOUDER and SOFTER, different levels of volume. I do not see any audio events or volume control that allow keyframing, how to do this?

Add a VOLUME ENVELOPE and then you can adjust it as needed.

Hmmm, yes I did this once for brightness and contrast as well, except the track slider envelope bar is NOT showing up, where is it?

Not sure what you mean by the “Track slider envelope bar”

To get a volume envelope, just press “V”. Then double-click the envelope to add a new point and adjust the volume as needed.
