Activity Forums Adobe After Effects AE is resizing my still image upon importing

    when you import as footage, there’s the option to merge layers or choose layer. if you choose ‘choose layer’ there’s an option to import at the document size or the layer size. choosing document size should maintain the 1500×880 size of the psd.

    if you import as composition, make sure you don’t choose the ‘retain layer sizes’ option.

    if it’s none of that, post either a screen shot or a psd that doesn’t import correctly so we can troubleshoot further

    Click on your layer and Tap “S”.

    Scale down or up to a certain percentage, or to a fairly close percentage if you are to then use the Fit to Comp option, as shown below.

    Select one of the following 3 options for the result you desire, then select the correct key combo based upon your keyboard:

    (-Result you desire: PC /// Mac Variants)

    -Fit to Comp: / Ctrl+Alt+F /// ⌥⌘F / Alt+Cmd+F / Alt++F / Option++F /

    -Fit to Comp Width: / Ctrl+Alt+Shift+H /// ⌥⇧⌘H / Alt+⇧+Cmd+H / Option+⇧++H /

    – Fit to Comp Height: / Ctrl+Alt+Shift+G /// ⌥⇧⌘G / Alt+⇧++G / Option+⇧++G /

    ~or~


    Go to Layer Menu, Click Transform, Scroll Down and Click one of these 3 Desire Results.
