I’ve made a quicktime movie using After Effects. When I import it into Final Cut Pro it’s off center. I’ve tried various aspect ratios for the composition settings, like 720 x 480, 720 x 486 and 720 x 540 but it doesn’t make any difference. It’s off by around 50 pixels or so.

    Hi Eleanor,
Have a look in the FCs Brownser to see if aspect-ratio and pixel-aspect ratio of your QT movie are well interpreted by FC. If you export something from AE, FC doesn’t know if your film is annamorphic, got square pixels or whatever. You have to tell him.
    Cheers,
