AE – How To Do This Slide/Splice Effect Transition?
Hey!
Thanks for any help ahead of time, you all are so awesome all the time.
I was wondering how you would go about creating the slice/slide/splice effect that happens throughout this whole video: https://vimeo.com/199213497
(Particularly at 00:05 – 00:08, but it happens thoughout the whole video.)I researched forever and could only come up with the idea of creating a random variation of grey lines going at a 45 degree angle and using the Time Displacement feature. That is my hunch so far, haven’t tested it because I literally just don’t know the easiest/smartest way to get started on doing that.
