    Hey everyone!

I’m trying to create a new comp at 1440 x 1080 to edit my HDV footage, but when the comp is created it is still in 4:3 ratio. anyone know why this is? I try importing some of my .m2t files which are at 1440×1080 res but it just displays it mashed up in 4:3 res.

I hope there’s a way to actually view my footage as it is suppose to be shown. thanks for any help you guys can provide.

    Frederic

    P.S I’m using AE CS3

You may find this thread helpful:

At the bottom of your comp window is a button that looks like a rectangle with a double-headed arrow above it. It’s the pixel aspect ratio converter. Turning it on simulates non-square pixels and will display 1440X1080 footage as 1920X1080. (assuming your comp is set to non-square pixels).
