hello, i am an americain working in germany…i work a lot in AE and one of my producer employers has decided to open up a little post house…as we have been rounding up software we became undecided about buying AE CS3 in german or in english. the main issue was working with expressions…we werent sure if there is a german expression language or if all expression language, java 2, or whatever it is exactly, is in english…we called adobe in germany and they couldnt tell us, they said they would get back to us on monday…i said i could find out before from you guys…

    thanks

ps- i did see in prefs/general expression pickwhip writes compact english…does that mean anything to me in this case?…

    Hi Aaron,

I don’t have an answer to your post, but can hopefully direct you to someone who does.

Dan Ebbert seems to be the expressions guru as far as AE goes. His site is https://www.motionscript.com/ . You can find his contact info in the “About Me” section.

I don’t know him personally, but… through his site and tutorials on the Cow he seems like a nice enough guy to give you a smart answer to your quandary.

    Best of luck.

    Bob

    Hi Aaron,

i-m german too and i still use AE in English
evrything else doesn-t make sense! The “German”
names and places in the effect pallet drives
    you crazy – so – it-s a simply answer.

    Frank
