The problem is that when you are working at an animation house that doesn’t have that software, you’re out of luck. Unless they have real scopes – but then good luck figuring out how to use them (not read them – use them).
Most places I worked in the past had real scopes. But a few had nothing.
If you are in control of your environment, then getting the right software for this is something to seriously consider. But if not, then you have to use that Sledge hammer. The question here is – which hammer?
