    Hi all

i’m banging my head against the wall here.

I’ve got a 20 min. program i’m trying to render at Blackmagic 8bit.

Every time i render it, it stops at 3:21:01 adn i have no idea why. The media is there and not disconnected.

And when i render just the portion of my timeline, say 3:20:00 to 3:24:00, it works just fine.

My project file is on one firewire drive and i’m saving the render to another drive.

    I’ve got a dual G5 1.8Ghz w/ 4Gb RAM running CS3.

Oh yea, the Error message says:

AFter Effects error: adding to movie (-1309) (44 :: 39)

    any help/thoughts///

    i’ve rendered this like 5 times today…

    help????

Look at Activity Monitor and check your RAM usage.
Make sure you have disc space.

Use the Secret Prefs to purge RAM during a render. Hold down the shift key when accessing the prefs, and only release it when the dialog box appears. The Secret prefs are at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

Try rendering to an image sequence. If it fails, set up the queue to render the remaining frames, then import the whole sequence and render (it’ll be pretty quick) to Blackmagic.

Ah. It was formatted FAT32, which has a 2GB file size limit.
