    Hi Guys,

Sorry to bother you. Got a quick question.

In After Effects (vesrion 6.5 Pro) how do I allow a drop shadow from one layer to only be seen on another layer. I can send a screen dump of exactly what I mean via email.

    Thanks heaps for you help.

I would imagine it depends on where you have the drop shadow layer, changing the blending mode might help….

Create your own drop shadow ( duplicate layer, add fill filter and gaussian blur, adjust opacity) then offset position to liking. Now use the layer that you want to have the drop shown on as a track matte for the created shadow (duplicate etc). Now create a Nul layer and parent the original layer and the drop shadow layer to this Nul to ease keyframing.
