  AE (CS6) painfully slow when using the “rubber tool”

  When using the rubber tool, AE seems to run extremely slow. When rubbing out, the yellow loading bar seems to constantly pop-up, when ever I move the mouse to remove part (erasing) of a PNG file.

  These are the MacBooks computer settings:

  Macbook Pro Retina Display

  Processor: 2.4GHz
  2.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz) with 3MB shared L3 cache

  Memory: 4GB of 1600MHz DDR3L onboard memory

  Graphics Card: Intel Iris Graphics
