    AE CS5 forgets location of TIFF image sequence

    I’m working on a project where I’ve loaded several TIFF (8bit) image sequences. Every time I close the project and re-open, the image sequences show as “color bars”, and I need to “replace” the files with the identical files. The location of the files have not changed. Also, I can’t just “re-load” footage. I must “replace” files for After Effects to see the footage again. Once replaced, doesn’t seem to be a problem until I close the project.
    Any ideas?

    I should have provided that information.
    Adobe CS5
    Windows 7 64 bit
    dual quad core Intel Xeon
    12 gigs ram

    definitely seems like it’s a memory issue
