    Hey all,

I downloaded the trail version of AE CS3 to try out on my new MacBookPro.

Since we have just gone into post production on a music video that we shot against a green screen it seemed the perfect opportunity try out the new AE with keylight. But nearly every time I try to render out a clip I get the following error

After Effects error: adding to movie (-1309) (44::39)

Normally happens about 1 minute left on the render.

The footage is HDV 1080i (1920×1080) and I’m rendering it to Animation codec at the same resolution with RGB+Alpha channels.

Any advice or solutions to this problems would greatly appreciated.

    Adam.

One thing I’ve found is to go in to your preferences–>Memory and Cache and set it up to where your Image Cache–Maximum Ram Cache size is about 20-30% or your RAM, then enable disk cache and set that to an external (if possible). It tends to write to the disk instead of writing to RAM. Might be a small bit longer on render times, but I’ve successfully made it through a few rather large renders that weren’t succeeding. Hopefully this helps
