  • AE CS3 + FCP 6 = DVD Settings?

    Hey guys,

I have a project, about an hour long, that has graphics from After Effects CS3, inside of a Final Cut Studio 2 timeline. Are there any other Compressor settings that would be better for a timeline that has Motion Graphics, and DV footage? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

You want the best quality for the MPEG-2 Compression, for the DVD right? Try the high quality 2-pass VBR 90-minute setting.

For more info, consider posting in the DVD Authoring COW, or the Compression Techniques COW.

You can also first export with compressor and create an animation of the full project. the file will be huge; however, the graphics will be super crisp.
you can then use that animation export to create your MPEG2 files. Depending on your computer setup it might take some extra time and horse power, but the results will be worth it.
