    AE CS3 Crashes when I switch to 16bit

    I’m running CS3 and I have a project with some banding. All my plugins support 16bit, but for some reason every time I switch to 16 bit, I get the windows box saying “AE has crashed” with the “send” and “don’t send” buttons.

    I haven’t seen this one before, any ideas?

    i haven’t seen this, but you might try:

    • disabling opengl (preferences>previews, uncheck the opengl option)
    • disabling video preview to any output device (preferences>video preview, select ‘computer monitor only’ for output device.
