  • AE Crashes my computer on Export + Image Buffer error

    Hello,
I have some kind of problem here, I can’t export movie from my After Effects 7. Whenever I try to export, it starts to export but crashes my computer somewhere in the middle of exporting.

I tried to export to AVI (Won’t do it, crashes)
I tried to export to MOV (Once did export it, after that, crashed again)
I tried to export to 3gp (exports succesfully but it’s 3gp, can’t do anything with it).

Does anyone know the problem? IS there any patch or something?!

And oh yeah, sometimes I get an error while exporting or browsing the timeline “CANNOT CREATE IMAGE BUFFER”.

I have P4 3.2, 1GB RAM, bunch of free disk space available and I think that my computer should handle this kind of export.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you,
    Phil

I have gotten a error like this several times recently. The only thing that seemed to help was rebooting and restarting AE. That didn’t ALWAYS fix the problem, but somehow, after a few trys, it would just work. It is very frustrating though. If your document uses any Illustrator files, try collapsing or uncollapsing those layers. I think that helped on one of my projects.

Crashes ( three in a row performing same task after three reboots ) using motion stabiizer and applying track, then RAM rendering in comp – get a crash about half-way through2-3 out of 5 times. Finally got through OK and succesfully rendered out a quicktime. My guess is that its the newest MAC OSX 10.4.6 upgrade related as I’d done dozens of these a couple of weeks ago before the latest OS upgrade… nothing else has changed.
