AE crashed and project reverted to a three hours old project.
Hello everyone,
My AE just crashed and even with a 5 minutes autosave, it didn’t save the last 3 to 4 hours of work I just did. I was roto frame by frame a project for hours and I really would be grateful to find a way not to edit every frame of that F#!¨ toothbrush again! 🙂
I’m working with AE CC on a PC windows 10. Been looking around for a way to restore my file but didn’t find.
Someone has an idea that would save me a few neurons? -

Found a solution.
Strangely, the auto-save folder did save my project but only the last one was a save from a very old version. I think AE got mixed up when it crashed but by opening an old auto-save, I was able to get back most of my work!
Tips for later, check more than just the last auto-save even if it doesn’t make sense 🙂
