  AE comp with vector file is jagged in PPCC export

  I’ve been having trouble getting clean graphic exports from PPCC when importing AE comps with vector files. They were a little jagged around the curved edges. Yes they were rasterized and perfectly fine inside AE but not in PPCC export. I solved the issue (sort of) so hopefully someone else can benefit from this:

  workflow:

  AFTER EFFECTS – create comp with vector logo; export via animation codec; frame rate/pixel aspect/comp size all double checked and correctly matched to PPCC comp

  PREMIERE PRO CC – import AE comp; drop into timeline; ADD BLACK LAYER ON TOP AT 3% OPACITY; edges magically sharpen up; adjust picture to compensate for black layer

  It’s weird I know, but this trick works (see the attached photos) Anybody else deal with this issue in a different way?
