  • AE comp setting for SD 16×9

Using Kona 2 to edit SD 8-bit ntsc anamorphic/16×9 shot on a SDX-900.

What are the proper After Effects comp settings?…everything I try seems stretched or squashed in AE.

    Thanks!

You should set your comps to 853×480 (which is a 16:9 ratio) and then squish (check the ‘stretch’ box) the file down in the output module for final render down to 720×480. These settings are if you are digitizing @ 720×480.

If you are using the uncompressed 8 bit codec the numbers are: create @ 864×486, then squeeze down to 720×486 in the output module for final render.
