I have been asked to provide some very basic AE training to a local Premiere editor who works for a health care company. I am wondering what sort of free-lance rates you guys and ladies have charged for this. The editor is just looking for some beginner tips on using AE and wants to start delving into the program. Probably will have to do this during the evenings and weekends since my own editing work keeps me busy. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

[Dave LaRonde] “I’m not trying to lose a gig for you, but the basics aren’t worth $35/hr or whatever for him, and lost time for you.”

I completely agree. Ditto for the Video Copilot reference.

If he needs more training after that I have also had great luck with Lynda.com.
