    Hi there!

i have a simple question about the AE-Psd workflow that probably most of you can answer

Always when in prepare images in psd ,importing these to ae i have to move the anchor point(mostly in case of rotating movements….u know what i mean…)
Is it possible to set the anchor point at the right place in psd?

when you import the psd in the import settings pop up choose “layer size” from the footage dimensions drop down.

No. Even if you import with “Layer Size”, the pivot point will be placed in the center of the bounding rectangle by default. PS has no concept of pivot points and transformations beyond the center of the transform tool. It does not store such date for re-use later.

How about placing dots at the corners of a PS layer, then moving the rest of the layer’s content off center?

Then in AE, mask out the dots ….?

(sort of like AI’s crop marks?)

Sounds like you’d be much quicker just bringing them into AE as is and then set up the anchor points as you want them within AE, otherwise you’re doing everything twice.
