AE and Dual Monitors…
Hi, I’m about to upgrade my computer as I prepare to install the new Production Suite. I plan to use two DVI LCD monitors…whats the best set up regarding AE’s windows to take advantage of the extra real estate. Would you drag the timeline across the two screens? I’m guessing it’s personal preference, but I figured I could learn from others who have been using this set-up. Thanks.

As you mentioned, it is a personal preference, but here are some of the workspaces I like to use:
a) When working intensively with the timeline, I drag my timeline across the screen
b) When working with cameras and/or with the program monitor, I place only the monitor in the second window and maximize it. -
I work with 100+ layers allot. I like to maximize the timeline on my right monitor, and arrange everything else on the left.

You can actually create a couple of workspaces and switch between them by assigning Shift-F10, F11 and F12 to them…
