AE 7 how change the durations of the PSD/comp’s layers?
Hello.
At first sorry for my poor and bad english (I am french). I am learning the 7 Pro version. I have try to find an answer of my problem in the manuel, and the help files, but it was unsuccessful. So I hope somebody will understand my little issue and could help me.
When I import a PSD file like Composition, it is always only 3 frames. Ok. So I change the duration (ctrl+k) of that PSD/Composition, but the layers keep their 3 seconds and I can not change, slide, the end mark of the layers. Yes I can change the percents of the speed but if I want to keep the 100%, how could I change each layers? Do you see what I mean? In the previous versions, we could slide the end mark of the layers; and now it seems it is impossible. I suppose I miss something. But what? And again why always the importation of the PSD, like Comp, keep that 3 frames durations? That make me mad.

If your importing your PSD’s as compositions, then you need to open the PSD comps themselves and change their durations, otherwise you wont be able to expand them on your parent comp. Continue to drill in until you see the actual psd as a layer (Alt-double-left-click on a layer to open its comp)
Alternatively you could apply time-remapping and add this line of code:
loopOut(type = “cycle”, numKeyframes = 0)The best way to fix this is to make an adjustment in your preferences:
Edit-> Preferences-> Import-> set your your “Still Footage” to a specific time, like 30 secEthan Anderson

Today I do not understand why, but AE 7 works like the 6.5. I do not have again the problem. Weird. I suppose I did something wrong but I do not know what. Need Holidays indeed.
