  AE 7 Hogs RAM more than AE 6.5 on OS X?

  This is based on “feeling” only, but it seems to me that when I render in AE7
  the computer acts “busier” (i.e. slow in other apps) than in renders in AE6.5.

  In 6.5 I used to render in one copy of AE and work in another copy at the same time
  without any lags.

  Im on G5, 10.3.9.
