I was wondering if there were any improvements to the playback of audio in AE without the need to ram preview in order to hear it. I heard that realtime playback of audio is possible in Motion and I think this would be great if it was improved in AE 7 especially for keyframing to audio beats on the fly.

    TIA for any info

Speak of audio, have they made any improvements to the (-2166) error when scrubbing audio with the latest version of quicktime (7.0.3 and 7.0.4)? Or is that Quicktime’s (Apple’s) problem?

Just a quick reminder that you can press the period on the numeric keypad to do an audio-only Ram-preview.

Or you can hold down, I think, the command/apple key and scrub with audio-preview.

Not as good as Motion, but okey.
