  AE 6.5 – sometimes the lights don’t work ???

  In this circumstance sometimes the lights don’t work:

  Import 3D text movie w/ alpha channel (from ProAnimator) into AE 6.5 and park in timeline.
  Set 3D flag on layer

  Add new “light” layer in AE…above the movie layer

  No effect – what? No effect, like as in the light layer just does nothing – fiddling the adjustments….no effect

  OK…panic attack

  Make new comp with ONLY the 3D text movie. Set 3D flag.
  Add new light layer.
  WORKS GREAT!
