AE 6.5 Render engine stops, claims output file is missing????
Hello there,
So it has been quite some time since I have been over here grazing the pastures. I have searched the forums and found only but a few articles or threads related to AE render engine failing. Or at least for what I was looking for anyhow.I have 6 machines set up, all Intel, it’s been a while I can’t recall the memory but they are each at least 1.5-2 gigs. I have AE 6.5 pro on one and R.E. on the other 4 machines over a network. I have all of my source files stored on the network as well through the 6th machine which manages my 7TB production array.
Until recently I have yet to have any problems what-so-ever in rendering over the network (either locally, or with using the R.E.’s). I would create my comps like normal and collect the necessary files (typically JUST the project files, because it would be uneccessary to make duplicates of all my .tgas and other source material if they are available on the network). I would then launch AE RE on each machine to watch a specific folder to let the machines render out the comps accordingly. No problem, my comps have always rendered just fine.
Well now, AE RE on each machine is claiming that the very file I wish to create is missing so it aborts the rendering process! For example: my comp output file (which is set in the render dialog) is lets say “myvideo_v2.mov” or “myvideo_v2.m2v” or whatever. Well the log files state that this file “myvideo_v2” is missing and that rendering has stopped. Of course it’s missing, I am trying to get AE to render them… ARGH!
My RCF and report files are where they should be, all machines have permissions set correctly to all files and sources. I don’t get it, why all of a sudden would AE RE stop doing what it is supposed to?
I can render locally on all machines if I wanted with the full program, but I can not use AE RE on any of my nodes. I have reinstalled AE RE on each node but with no luck.
Any ideas folks, I appreciate the help. Thank you.
Tom
