AE 6.5 firewire preview problem
On my Mac G5 dual 2.5 ghz, the firewire preview just dissappears.
Once in a while it will preview a frame or two…then just dissappears!
The firewire port seems to be working properly, as I can do the ” send image to device” from Photoshop and see it every time.
Also… I can import DV video to Avid XpressPro with no difficulty.
And…external hard drives will work on this buss as well (though I usually use an additional card for this)
I have tried:
AE prefs trash
AE 6.5 re-install
Using a different transcoder (always with nothing else on the firewire buss)(BTW – I have Blackmagic software & Decklink SP installed on this G5 – it works great)
I have scoured the web. Perhaps someone has a suggestion.

Weird. Have you tried the Blackmagic COW forum? I’m wondering if there’s a conflict that they know about.
