AE 6.5 effects problem
i don’t know what exactly happened but everything used to work fine in my AE 6.5 but now when i apply effects/filters anything it does not show them in the preview window, for instance if i apply basic text then apply glow to the text it does not show the glow it only shows if i were to change the transformations field under the text, any help is greatly appreciated

Do you have your caps locked?
It’s pretty common to leave it pressed after you input some text.16:9

yeah, im positive i don’t have caps lock on, not to mention, i’ve tried uninstalling AE and reinstalling it, restarting comp, everything
