  AE 6.5 and 7.0 crash when opening project

  I have a dual 1 gig G4 with 1.5 megs of ram, 10.4.8, QT 7.1.3 and I cannot open an AE project in 6.5 or 7. Problems really arose after the last updates from Apple, especially QT 7.1.3. I do not have the AVID codecs installed, i deleted the prefs including Finder prefs QT prefs etc. What I’d love to do is get back to QT 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 but I cannot seem to get it back. i also thought I might go bac k to QT 6.5.2 but that didn’t work.

  This system has been a rock for several years. Is still a rock with everything else. Just with the AE 7 install and the latest Apple stuff I seem doomed.

  I can once in a while open AE7 and import a ver 7 project, but once I twirl down the folder it crashes. I do not have Boris Continuum loaded in AE 7 either. I have tried everything on these boards. Just curious if it is just me for now.

  I am going to try to re install AE7.
