Advice on using HDMI for live projection
I do A/V for a lot of meetings in rural areas, usually in high school gyms or outdoor pavilions. Usually I’m projecting a Powerpoint presentation to one projector, and then several video monitors. For years I did this via a Kramer switcher/scaler and a Extron VGA DA. I’ve been trying to utilize HDMI when possible, but need to look into the HDMI/CAT6 options that would allow longer runs. Also, it seems like the HDMI cables are VERY touchy, causing the projector to lose the input connection. Is that common?
What should I be looking into as far as equipment purchases?
Thanks in advance,
