Advice on passing video around
Hi, I am putting together a team of graphics/video editing/etc people and need some advice on the best way to get the video footage to all team members.
The team is about 5 members.
I have thought about using Dropbox, but isn’t that very time consuming in that it would take a long time for 2-3 hours worth of video clips to upload and download.
I have no problem upgrading to Dropbox teams, unless there is a better way.
Any advice is much appreciated.

How fast is your internet connection? You can run your own FTP.
Filezilla makes it easy. https://filezilla-project.org/Put the server on the fastest host and all others run the client.

You should be able to surpass their speed without too much trouble.
Your limited by the amount of bandwidth you internet provider will let you use, and the size of your storage. There are no features like auto syncronize (or whatever dropbox call it). However there may be a way to map the FTP on remote computers and sync after changes to a local directory. I know I can sync folders on domain computers, I don’t know about ftp, never tried it.

If everyone on the team is running Sony Vegas, and the same Version, then all you need to exchange are the veg files. You can do that in an email attachment.
